Year – 7

Winter

  • Met up with our friends Beth n Steve and Tom n Ann
  • Brief visit with Suzanne’s parents in Danville
  • Suzanne had her 2nd hip replacement done in Reno
  • Suzanne’s father passed away – Suzanne spent multiple weeks in Danville
  • John had her hip replacement done in Reno
  • John drove up to Danville with the motorhome – stayed in the RV in pleasanton

Spring

  • Met up with Mike n Marsha in central california – they brought their travel trailer
  • Dave’s celebration of life
  • Drove up to Oregon to visit Cam n Meg, Deb n Mark n Rose
  • Drove down to Sutherlin to drop off the Vista and Felix

Summer

  • Drove to Danville for brief visit with Suz’s mother
  • Picked up Graham in Dulles for our 2-week safari in Kenya and Tanzania
  • Flew to Cape Town for our 3-week safari in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswanna
  • Visited Suzanne’s mother again before driving up to Sutherlin to pickup Felix and the Vista
  • Visited Cam n Meg, Tom n Ann, and Deb n Mark n Rose in the Wilsonville area
  • Drove up to Olympia to visit with Carol and Family, Beth n Steve, and Madeline and Michelle
  • Drove to Sutherlin to help Bill n Liz for a few days
  • Met up with Cam n Meg with the Daniels in Sun River
  • Met up with Suz’s distant cousin in Weizer ID

Fall

  • Spent several months visiting new places in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
    • Capital Reef NP, Grand Staircase Escalante NM, Vermillion NM (white pocket and the Lee’s Ferry), Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Horseshoe State Park, Gooseneck State Park, Canyon De Chelly and Antelope Canyon – need to visit
  • Spent time volunteering, first time, at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah
  • Albuquerque Fiesta Balloon festival, again with Susan n Sam n Pearl, but camped in the festival VIP west rv parking area. Another great dinner at Sazon in Sante Fe
  • Puerto Penasco, 4th visit, but this time with new friends Madeline n Michelle for 11-days; Susan n Sam cancelled a week before the trip
  • Visited western Arizona areas including Surprise and Cottonwood
  • Visited Las Vegas and had a really good visit with Linda and Nate at an old school italian restaurant; visited Valley Of Fire State Park as well as Hoover Dam
  • Spent Thanksgiving in Yuma again this year
  • Drove up to Northern California for the month of December – spent a week in Reno for John’s shoulder surgery
