Visited Danville to spend Christmas with Suzanne’s mother; Graham joined us for a week or so, spent time in the area as well as Berkeley and San Francisco
On Christmas day, we brought Yvonne to the house where neighbor and friend Arlo joined us for dinner; had video chats with Cameron n Meg and David n Renee
Drove down to Borrego Springs for a few months – Felix was a great traveller in both directions – put the portable catio inside the jeep
Suzanne fell on first day and fractured her ankle. Suzanne with a boot and crutches and John with a shoulder immobilizer made quite a pair and people had a lot to talk about
Really enjoyed spending 3-months in Borrego Springs – especially since our trip last year was greatly disrupted
Really got to spend a lot more time at various cultural experiences this year
The bloom was awesome and early this year
Really enjoyed seeing Tom n Ann, Sharon and especially Steve n Beth again this year
We hosted Sam n Susan and Madeline n Michelle this trip; took them around the desert as well as Julian
Started physical therapy in Julian with Matt for my shoulder – it was quite an effort
Drove up to Reno and Danville for John’s shoulder surgery check-up and sign-off; saw Yvonne as well as the bay area folks
Attended Carol’s celebration of life ceremony in San Jose
John experienced a couple of gallbladder attacks including one visit to the ER in Rancho Mirage

Continued our visit in Borrego Springs – really enjoyed the resort this year even though we did not get to hike or ride bikes as much
Vista’s awning was damaged in a sudden wind gust – Steve helped us get the awning retracted and secured for travel
John had his gallbladder removed in La Jolla with a surgeon that Suzanne found
John continued his PT with Matt in Julian
First trip to Jojoba Hills SKP Resort near Temecula – wonderful experience with Steve n Beth – so many amenities and activities. Made reservations for 2027
Jimmie visited us at Jojoba Hills; met Jimmie and Barb for lunch and wine tasting in Temecula
Beth n Steve took us to see an outdoor play about Ramona’s history as well as the Rocket Man tribute in Palm Desert
Stayed in Escondido where we had a great time visiting various coastal towns again
Celebrated Jimmie’s birthday, had lunch with his three daughters and helped him with his new apartment in Oceanside
Met up with Madeline and Michelle as they travelled north back to Washington
Started our migration up the coast to Pismo Beach, Paso Robles, Carmel Valley and Pescadero
